Hi does anyone know of a US based supplier of pistons and rings? My 73k mile 4.0l WJ has been diagnosed with the start of piston slap and one breaker here says the piston skirts break up. Jeep want just shy of £600 for the rings and headset - no pistons. Which is $800 or $900 depending on the exchange rate. I've seen some suppliers on the net who are a lot less but don't ship to the UK. It also popped into my mind that if these pistons are prone to breaking up then a pattern part would probably be better? It's that or buy a R***e R***r HSE Sorry I realise those words are banned on here.
