Are you upgrading from the 4.0? If not then I take it you already have the 5.2 and that is a Magnum. But if you're upgrading from the 4.0 then you'll need; engine, trans, t-case (spline counts different), harness', ECU, motor mounts, radiator, all belt driven accessories and hoses, and the full V8 exhaust.
Edit: I just looked at your GC and it's the 5.2, which means it already has the 318 Magnum

There is absolutely no benefit taking his engine unless you've blown yours or his has significantly less miles then yours does.
I would take his steering box though.

You will have to switch all the sensors from your motor onto his, as your's is OBD I, and his OBD II. It will not run correctly if you keep his sensors. This swap has been done many times. The 5.9 I'm building to put in my 94 ZJ is out of a 97 Ram.
