DRIVER's SIDE MIRROR

Thanks for letting me post, first time user.
I'm in Vermont and this year they changed the laws - so my 1994 ZJ requires some repairs. First off:
Driver's Side Mirror.

I found some blanks online -dimensions were wrong and it wasn't heated glass. Now I have found the entire unit for 35 ( as opposed to 44+ dollar} from A1Auto.

http://www.1aauto.com/1993-95-jeep-g...=136776&y=1994

Is this the appropriate part? - there's no dimensions listed - 8 5/16" diagonal measurement.

Is this the only option - must I replace the entire unit.

Thanks for your help ,Thomas

I just went through this with the 2008 I picked up. The ds glass was cracked, heated mirror. It cost less to replace the whole mirror than to replace the heated glass. I ended up with a mirror assembly from an online junkyard. I saw the cheap ones new but they were out of the heated one. It cost me $33 shipped for the mirror. It had real pictures and it was a genuine jeep part. It looks great and was easy to replace. Looks and functions great. Now I also have a spare assembly in case the adjusters go bad or the mirror housing gets broken. I couldnt see spending that much for a piece of glass that the mounting tabs could break off while removing the old one. I would look for a used one on ebay. Or get the cheap brand new one. Amazon has that mirror $5 cheaper. Ships free if you have prime too.

^ Good advice and what I would suggest as well. ^

What is wrong w/ the mirror, glass broken?

Mine was damaged when my daughter attempted to pivot the housing flush to the body and the spring broke. It was a butt pain, but I swapped the spring and restored the mirror to normal.
