Open the hatch, remove the few bolts that are there, pull the assembly away from the body, remove the bulb, and install the new one. Installation is the reverse if removal.

If the bulbs are good you need to get a test light and test your wire and see if you get power when you hit the brakes. If you don't, do the same with your running lights on and see if the wire gets power then. If you do get power to the wire then your bulb is bad whether it looks good or not. If you don't get power at all check your fuses and make sure they are all good.

It looks like it doesn't have separate fuses for the brake lights. Try switching the bulbs from side to side to see what happens. If the same thing still happens, look at the socket, or the wiring to the rear lamp. Make sure the socket and housing contacts are both clean before you twist it into the housing. It could have some corrosion on it. And verify the position of the contacts on the socket and housing so they line up correctly during assembly.

Ok, so I replace the bulb and still nothing.... then I wiggle the wire loom that come in from the interior and it works. I carefully tucked the assembly back in and checked again.......... still working. Hopefully it will keep working and not just vibrate the wires and make it go out again.
