Door problems
I have a 98 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L. One day, when my friend got in my car, he pulled the door shut. I heard a noise, and was surprised to find that the interior of the door, where the handle and lock is located, had come off on one side. I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem, and i would like to fix it properly without taking it to a garage.

Ya man. Getting it open is not a problem. Its the interior part. It just popped off and i cant find a way to get it back on.

It doesn't make a sound. It is just the interior panel that has fallen off on one side. It isn't really a technical problem, but it is kind of hard to shut the door from the inside because it is falling off.

Do you hear banjos?
OK, so it's the panel itself, I think I've got it now!! LOL!! So it must be brken around the mounting holes that the screws go into that hold it on...correct?? If so, you have a couple of options: You can fab some "washer" type peices that will hold the screws in place. You could use screws in different places to keep it mounted, ei..around the perimeter. That is what I had to do with my rear hatch cover. If it simply the little flanged plastic peices that slip into holes in the door that are broken, you can just buy those and replce them. So which one is it?? Or none of the above!! LOL!!
