Does a 03 Grand Cherokee only have an Electric Fan?

Does a 03 Grand Cherokee only have an Electric Fan?
Quick Question:
The other day my girl took her jeep to get tuned up from this guy and to make a long story short he said that she was missing her fan set up. He said that there was only an electric fan.
Sure enough thats all there is. I know most cars have a fan that works off the crank and an electric fan, so I was taken back for a second.
my question is: is she missing a fan set up or was there only an electric fan on 03 grand cherokees?

I'm not sure. My '04 w/the 4.7L V8 has the tow package and the fan is driven by the power steering pump which has a cooler on it. Very strange set-up.

yea it is an eletric fan only i have the same one as you do. its only the fan and coolant keeping the motor cooled down

what I've learned that 99-04 gc all have the electric fan setup and most of the cherokee and wranglers have the clutch fan setup I cant quote the years off the top of my head.
