It kinda blows my mind that they don't. I work on cars for a living and even the new 2013 models have EGR valves. In fact, the non-RENIX XJ's are the only vehicles I've ever encountered that "don't" have an EGR valve.

I see caravans, voyagers and town and countrys with or without constantly. And many more. I wonder if it has to do with the difference between Cali and non Cali emissions

The 4.0 is a low compression engine and the ECM in the non Renix vehicles is much better in controlling emissions. California emissions may require some vehicles to have an EGR, but the rules are written in sand and the wind is blowing.
