Disturbing inability to move forward from a stopped position
Well I guess the thread title says it all.
Just recently my '96 4.0 Grand Cherokee had developed a strange feeling from the back wheels, as though they are getting stuck. It only happens when I am peeling away from lights, or have been waiting in traffic.
It also makes a noise, again as in the wheels are struggling to get going (back) or getting jammed? Not the greatest description I know but today I reversed out of a parking spot and was greeted with a stall, after which I couldn't get it started again because the immobiliser wasn't having any of it and decided to go into rest mode for a good three hours before deciding to wake up. Maybe this has no effect on the problems at the back but I wanted to add it in here in case there is some relation.
Recently its AUTO has been entirely rebuilt.
Im worried as to what this is but I was warned that something at the back sticks and I need to apply lubricant every now and then.
Your help would be appreciated.
