Default Death Wobble

I know this topic has been posted a lot...I have a 98 gc v8 5.9l....I've changed the tie rod ends, drag link , and track bar and have gotten an alignment ....i'm still getting the DW 80 km and above.... my steering stabalizer seemed fine.....if i were to change it would I just be masking the problem?...also I know my steering box is going bad could that also be another cause?..any suggestions would be appreciated..Thanks

check all the bushings on the front arms. I really don't have much experience in the death wobble, but if those bushings are weak, they will cause issues.

what is your definition of a deathwobble? Does it just vibrate at certain speeds or wobble that bad you have trouble maintaining control?

wobbles to the point where i can't maintain control....but as an update i think the death wobble is fixed i got my tires balanced today..and all i have right now is a slight shimmy of the steering wheel once i hit 100km...if i pass 100 it's fine and if it's under 100 it's fine so i may have a bad tire

Balancing was kind of what I was getting at, but a wobble that bad because of balancing is unsual.

just get the monroe magnessium steering stabilizer from a local parts store.... i had death obble at anything more that 35 mph... the stabilizer looked good but i took it off to just see one day and i was able to push it together with my pinkies.... now with this stabliizer no problems at all and better handiling.

we carry both the monroe and the MOOG steering stabilizers. I might be doing shocks in my 04 soon.

If you end up needing one here's a link to prices for them on the site.
