in-dash a/c switch
So my a/c switch decided to go out today and I was wondering if there was a way of bypassing the in dash switch. It will no longer stay on however I do know that everything is still in working condition just the switch is no good. 98 grand Cherokee manual controls

Wow, no replies. I think i know why. i was messing with the wire harness that seems to control the a/c switch and i accidently short circuited the harness now i cannot get the blower to come on. i have checked all common fuses for the blower but they are all fine, any ideas as to which fuse i might have blown. thanks

The one in your head! Why were you messing with it live? Check ALL the fuses.

How else would I know if the the switch was bypassed if not live. And yes I have checked fused in the kickpanel and under hood. Any other fuses that I'm not aware of.

i have narrowed the problem down to the purple wire on the temperature control connector at a/ccontrol panel. anyone know where this might be getting its power from. cause everything else in the jeep works fine. if i piggy back power to this wire the blower motor comes on. any ideas

Stop "working" on your vehicle, you're only breaking more stuff and destroying it. Bypassing a switch in NOT the way to FIX the problem. REPLACE the switch and repair it correctly. There is no need for hack repairs.
