NP249 front output shaft seal replacement
ZJ 5.2L NP249 - front output shaft seal is leaking. Can anyone send me a video or explain replacing this front seal without removing the TC.

NP249J front output shaft seal replacement
looking at the exploded view of the NP249J, it looks like I can remove the front drive shaft, the u-joint yoke then pull & replace the seal. Is this correct? how hard is it to pull the yoke off?

I've been following your post, but not having done this or knowing for sure, I didn't answer, BUT it seems logical if the seal has a lip on it that you can pull it with, I think it can be done. The nut on the yoke can be removed with an impact wrench, but retorqueing it will require holding the yoke with a pipe wrench or something when you use the torque wrench. This is because you're dealing with the VC which will slip. The yoke should be a slip fit on the output shaft splines. Pulling the seal is pretty easy with a slide hammer.
