Hey guys,
Im in the middle of replacing the outer seals on my Dana 35 w/ c lips. Im stumped with trying to remove the axle seals, they are really in there. Both sides are equally a PIA! Any tool suggestions, like homemade or something i can pick up at the parts house? thanks in advance

get a seal puller, or just use a pry bar at an angle...

thanks for the reply. i should have mentioned i have a seal puller. its just not effective... i will try the pry bar. my worry with the pry bar is that one small enough to get behind the seal will probably break off anyway, but there is only one way to find out.

if all else fails a slide hammer with a hook on the end always works.

Slide hammer worked for me. Should be able to rent one form AutoZone

may be called a pilot bearing puller. Mine will open up enough to pull seals.
