Cylinder head removal on a 2.7 crd

Cylinder head removal on a 2.7 crd
Hi
Grand cherokee 2003, 2.7 Mercedes diesel engine.
I going to take off the cylinder head tomorrow with my mechanic, not sure if there are any specialist tools required?
He'd have all the standard tools, but is there anything specialist required for setting up or removal?
If anyone could point me too a step by step that would be great, unfortunately dont have the haynes manual, I will get one but will not have in time for this procedure...
