Engine came from an automatic at junk yard year or type of jeep unknown but it was an automatic
Do you know the technical name of that pressed in sleeve in the crank. With that I can find the correct one for my grand Cherokee

Old fart with a wrench
A good way to remove a pilot bearing is to tap it (thread) and use a slide hammer to pull it. I seem to remember a UNC 3/4 x 10 thread works. It may even start spinning when you crank in the tap.

automatic no pilot shaft bearing
When I bought the engine from the junk yard it still had the flexpan attached. It was smaller than mine. There is a pressed in sleeve (looks like a bearing race) that has an id that's smaller than the snout on my converter
My real question isnot how to get it out, but rather what the technical name of it so I can get the correct one from jeep
