Coil spring advice
I am interested in replacing the front and rear coils springs on my 1997 jeep grand Cherokee larado with the 4.0 I6. I would appreciate opinions on one brand over another. Checking several local parts suppliers the only options are factory springs (expensive) or Moog coil springs with a variable rate or Rancho springs that appear to be a straight rate spring. With just over 207,000 miles I know they are shot and it would be nice to upgrade to a quality replacement. Thanks..

You can't go wrong with Moog springs from www.rockauto.com , replace the isolators too while you're at it. Those can also be had at rockauto. They carry the Rancho springs too, but they are way more expensive than the Moog springs.

Hey, Busted. What is the difference between the Upcountry suspension and the standard one besides the springs and shocks? Would a 2" lift on my WJ accomplish the same thing?

I always prefer lift springs over spacers. The upcountry springs give some lift over the Laredo package springs. I plan on using the upcountry springs on my rig pretty soon.

Okay. I like that. I was looking at my WJ the other day and thought I could do a 2" lift without much work. My swaybay ends are upward more than horizontal but the links have been replaced by the PO. My left front wheel well liner is loose from busting snowbanks doing my papers and I thought a little more clearance would help with snowpack. This thing has front mudflaps that I took off because of the snow. It's got the plastic side trim so I figured it didn't matter anyhow. I was going to mount foglights but if I do, they'll have to be rooftop or they'll get smashed.

My reason for cutting in was I wanted to make you aware of the upcountry springs. My previous ride was a 97 ZJ.
