Default Code p0171- HOW DO I FIX THIS

i got at 99 grand cherokee, have a p0171 code, and need to figure out what to fix? any help would be awesome

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter

That code could be caused by a vacuum leak, incorrect fuel pressure, a faulty O2 sensor, something in the MAP sensor circuit, misfires, any number of things. I would start by looking for a vacuum leak.

alldata shows it as a 02 sensors before the cat. but vacuum leak could throw that code also

Default '97 p0171

Lurched and snatched at low speeds,missed at high speed.Changed throttle position sensor,cleared up the problem.
