Default check engine light?

I was having problems with my 98 grand Cherokee stalling. My check engine light came on a couple months ago and it was basically everything to do with air flow. Well I cleaned my air filter first and it drove fine for 3 days then it started stalling again. Well we changed the fuel pump, coil, spark plugs and wires, crankshaft position sensor and backed the 2 screws out of the computer. Well it was still stalling and my check engine light came back on so I went and borrowed one of those code machine reader things and it came up map sensor and tps so we changed both and it still was stalling but no check engine light. Well then we changed the iac valve cause it had bad corrosion well it was still stalling and the check engine light came back on so finally I said f*** it and I waited until my dad came to visit cause he's a machanic. Well guess what, he gets here and it don't stall plus my check engine light went over right after I started it. I drove it around town yesterday and didn't stall, drove it around the block and it didn't stall so my question is, could the check engine light plus computer together be making it stall out cause the computer didn't get rebooted or something? Cause like I said it wouldn't run longer than 10 minutes and we didn't do anything for 2 weeks waiting on my dad to get here and then It's fine. It makes no sense to me. Or is it a possibility that I might have had water in my tank and it needed to evaporate?

The cam sensor will cause a stalling issue after about 10 minutes of running, you need to see what the code is first though. The codes will not tell what to replace, they just give you a place to start your diagnostics.
