changed CPS,now oil pressure is pegged at 80lbs
Hello all TJ here with a question. I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee 4.0 with a fresh Jasper long block installed less then 3k ago. Had an intermittent problem that a tester showed either Cam or Crank Sensor fault.
As in the title, I recently changed the cam position sensor(Cardone new shaft and sensor)and in order to get the shaft to line up with the oil pump(?) drive,I had to turn the slotted piece down in the block clockwise to get the CPS to drop into place and be some what in the position the repair manual show.
Found TDC and installed new sensor and drive(I need to get SIL back with his tester to get the CPS in range. Engine cranks over and runs with a slightly rough idle BUT now the oil pressure gauge is spiked at 80lbs at idle.
Did turning the drive in the block cause the oil pressure to read high or did the oil pressure sensor crap the bed?
