Can't get back hatch to open

HI ,I've come for help again My '94 grande cherokee has a burned out rear signal light.Ineed to open the hatch to change it./the handle moves fine ,but I think some adjustment is needed thanks

I had same prob. Try pushing in on the bottom while pulling on handle. use different amounts of force. It will eventually open. Once open, there are afew adj. that need to be made. Do a search for procedures.

Give a love tap to the right of the handle as you're pilling on it. Happens to me if I slam the hatch to hard.
