Hi all,

Forgive my ignorance, I've never really ventured into the audio component aspect of my jeep. Also, if I am posting this in the wrong section I'm sorry.

It is a 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I had to remove the door panel to figure out why my window just fell down and thought I might take the opportunity to replace the speakers while I'm already in there. I have (2) Pyramid Royal Red 6"x9" speakers which are listed at 600w max. Will the factory amp even power these or would I be wasting my time putting them in?

I appreciate your help and apologize again if this is a silly question.

They won't fit in the speaker opening without hacking the door up. Pyramid is a swap meet brand of speaker at best, the factory speakers will most likely sound better anyway. You can tell a third rate speaker by the overly rated wattage the speaker can suposedly handle. You put 600 watts to those 6x9s and you will have a shredded mess.
