Default A/C leaking on passenger floorboard

I just found your forum, and I am very glad I did. I found some info on others who have had a similar issue, so please tell me if anyone can help. There is a small hole under my glove box of my Cherokee Laredo that has a steady drip of water coming from it (soaking my carpet), when I run my a/c for a while. I have read that this may be due to the a/c drain line being glogged. If so, how do I unclog it? Thanks!

deffinately a clogged line, you probibly have to take the a/c condenser box apart and clean it manuely. if you can find the hose that runs outside, get a pipe cleaner and run it through, it may buy you some time.

I wouldn't know where to start. Is the condenser box under the dash?

Look in the engine compartment on the right side of firewall near the frame rail, see if it's there. Not sure on an XJ. My Zj drains into the frame rail.

Default Quick Fix

OK, here's what I did. Pulled up the carpet and dried up all the water. Bought a 2' piece of 3/8" rubber hose and a tube of black silicone caulking, ($6). Drilled a small hole in the floorboard and through the rail. Ran the hose into the hole (already there), under the glove box, and the other end into the new hole in the floor. Sealed up both ends with the caulk and presto, no more wet carpet! I guess time will tell if it holds.
