Hey guys my friend has 95 Orvis GC with the 5.2, auto, and the rear gears are messed what ratio is it? i have 2 spare D35 axles out of a XJ was hoping mabey they shared the same ratio.. i have a rear out of a 90 xj 4.0 5sp and a rear out of a 92 xj 4.0 auto. hoping i can just do a gear swap

Your axle out of manual trans xj has 3.07 gears most likely and 3.55s in the axle out of the auto.

The dealer can tell you by using the vin#. There should be a tag on the cover.

If there is no tag on the rear axle, look at the front axle. They will be the same.

Automatic tranny will be 3.55's. If it's an incredibly rare 5 speed, it'll be 3.07's.
