Buddy just picked up a grand cherokee. No start, not going into gear.
My buddy at work just got s grand cherokee for free it was given to him by a family member. They gave it to him because one dayit wouldnt start, or shift from park at all.
He took it in hopes it is an easy fix, and a cheap new daily driver. I will have more specific info on the truck tonight.
Any ideas on what to look at?

Its a 99 grand cherokee laredo with the 4.0L. We got it to start, but it wont leave 1st gear ever. If we put it in D, 2, or 1 it will never upshift out of 1st gear.
Any idea on what to look at?
