Bought a used ZJ
I bought a used ZJ that is in good shape. Runs and drives great. It has a suspension lift. It needs shocks but I do not know how much lift it has. Also at idle and initial acceleration there is an intermittent high pitched squeal that sounds more a vacuum leak than a belt. The squeal seems the loudest in the area of the AC compressor but also pretty loud near the air box. Does anybody have an stock specs for a 98 ZJ that may help determine how much lift it has?

Welcome to CF!
First thing is a couple questions. What size tires does it have on it and what engine has it got.
If it's a 4.0 straight 6, it probably has a manual belt tensioner like my 97 did. The belt may be slipping because it isn't tensioned correctly. When I say manual, I mean set with an adjusting bolt, not a spring loaded idler.
Tire size is a good indication of the lift. The most common lifts, except for serious off-road, are 2" and 4". If it still has the original control arms and track bar, it's probably just a 2" budget lift. If it's got long or adjustable lower control arms and track bar, it's probably 4" or more. If it's more then 2", you'll need extended travel shocks.
That's about the extent of my knowledge of lifts. Another thing you can do is measure a normal ZJ's bumper height and compare it with yours.
