Best windshield for off road
Hey guys, just bought a 96 xj and am gonna make it a trail rig. A tree fell on it and crushed the cab. I got the cab pushed back out close to where it should be. I am wondering what my best option for a windshield would be. Was thinking about making a polycarbonate windshield, but want something that I can still use my wipers on as well.

Any type of plastic is going to scratch if you use the wipers. An actual glass windshield may be the cheapest and best choice, as long as it still fits in the opening.

All you want is a glass windshield in a trail rig or one that uses wipers. I have used in race cars over the yrs and they are a PITA to keep clean and scratch free (special cleaner required) never dry wipe.
Being a windshield for an XJ even a tinted one is only a $100 or so the only way to go IMHO.
