I have the D35 c clip axle. So, I go to change the axle seal and find that the pinion shaft has made the hole in the carrier an oval now and the pinion shaft bolt is broken. So needless to say I can't get the pinion shaft out which means I can't get the c-clips off to change the axle seal.

I know people say the D35 is a pos but I don't have the money to buy an 8.8 like I would like to. Should I just buy another D35 or just a new carrier? I only have like a $100 to spend and I can't find anything better for that price.

If its your dd or you need it up and running just fix what you need to. then start putting money aside so you can upgrade as soon as you can. i am sure there are a lot of d35 parts out there cheap that ppl are using for door stops and such. It may at the least get you on the road till the upgrade.

Would a Dana35 from any jeep fit as long as it's the same gear ratio and coil springs? Mainly talking about a wrangler d35. Thanks.
