auto locks for doors

2005 Jeep grand cherokee
I have a problem with a noise behind the ignition area. When I start the jeep after a few seconds a clicking starts behind the ignition inside the dash. It seems to click for around a minute then stop. I beleive it has something to do with the auto locks because it seems to stop when the doors lock after driving.
The noise sounds like a gas cap clicking and is loud.
Is there some sort of relay making this noise? I am not sure what to do about it. I bought it at a dealer's auction and am considering taking it to the local jeep dealer unless I can figure it out.
I am nearing 60k miles and will be taking it in for the 60k maintenance soon.
Any suggestions on the noise?
