anyone help me figure this out?
ok i have a 1999 grand cherokee laredo 4.0 4x4
when im driving down the road at speed(55-65) or whatever speed im going it stalls.
first time it happened it happened so fast that the momentum restarted the car.second time i was ideling at the car wash and it just stalled...both times it started right back up.
Third time it happened at speed agian but this time i poped it in nuetral and coasted to a stop, when i tryed to restart it it just rolled over and never fired so i shut the key off for like 10 secs and tryed agian it fired right up. forth time it did the same as the first time ,it was so fast that it was restarted b4 i could do anything....any ideas???
Ithought it was the fuel pump dieing but i thought they always tend to just go and not mess around tonight i am taking the crank sensor out and cleaning it to see if its cool or not.I thought mabey a fuel fitler too so i went and bought it and its a PRESSEURE REGULATOR too this jeep is way to new. so any thoughts would be great thanks

First thing you need to do before monkeying with it is to check to see if any codes are stored. Here's how.>http://jeephorizons.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2719
If it doesn't give any fault codes for the components you've named, I wouldn't touch them.
Secondly, that vacuum leak is causing running issues. After it's fixed, disconnect the battery for awhile so it will "forget" the problems. Then after hooking the battery back up, take a good drive so it can re-learn the system parameters.
Don't waste time and or money fixing things that aren't broken. Work smarter, not harder. Hope this is helpful.
