Anyone good with brakelines?
I'm ready to pull out the rest of the hair i have left...
I have a 95 ZJ here for brakework. It has ABS. It came in with a ruptured hardline where it connects to rear axle softline junction.
This hard line has a ISO bubble flare at the ABS pump, and is one piece back to the rear. I dont have a bubble flaring kit so i purchased a short piece of 3/16" hardline with the flare already on it, cut the other end and double flared it and installed a union. For the life of me i cant get the union to not leak. I'v redone the double flares with no change.
In this union it appears to taper down and into the center of the union. Wouldnt a double flare union have a taper OUT and UP into center?
I'm wondering if NAPA gave me a bubble flare union and thats where my trouble lies. Does this exist?
Anyone familiar with this stuff?
