i first came here in the fall as a newbie to ask about cherokees. i bought a 2006. but i need it to look alittle better ( sits too low). its going to be a tar baby only, LOL.

i've been reading alot on here about the 2" BB. but i dont know if these threads apply to 06's. same with the 30.00 cheap,longer shocks somebody mentioned.

anything different about the bb with a 06 ?
do i need new shocks ?
not sure what size rims i have. they are stock. 7.5 or 8.5 ? how much bigger tire can i fit on those rims with a 2 " lift ? i really want to avoid having to look for aftermarket rims( 31's tires would be nice but not sure how it would do the gas mileage? ) 245's now with the 4.7 v8.

any pics of 06 and up with the lift ?

what? 2006 cherokee? they stopped in 2002 maybe 2001. I think your talking about a grand cherokee correct? that would be posted in a different section. i have no clue on grands except the grand with the I6

Being an 06 it is likely an grand cherokee.

First off you either have a Grand Cherokee or a Liberty (exported as Cherokee), not an XJ Cherokee were not made after 2001.

245 tires are basically 30", so 31" will probably fit stock 2"BB no Problem, they are only 3/4" or so bigger. You shouldn't need shocks, but they are advised if you go Off road.

well it is posted in the grand cherokee section so i would imagine so lol i have seen some sweet pics online if these with 3 in lifts i think its OME but im not sure... i guess OME wouldnt be a "budget boost" tho sorry
