Default Any tips on engine sludge?

Think I may have some engine sludge going on. Jeep just feels heavy and sluggish. Anything I can do to flush it out?

5 minute flush. They sell it at just about every auto parts store. Or you could go old school and dump a cup of kerosene which is essentially the same. Its not a bad idea to flush your engine every now and then but if your engine is sluggish its usually not sludge in the oil. Is your check engine light on? There are many possibilities for your problem.

Engine sludge is not something that's an overnight event, I takes a long time to show up. Usually comes from not changing oil regularly and beating on the engine when it's cold. I would pull off your valve cover and have a look to see if you indeed have sludge.

I say... USE YOUR DIPSTICK JIMMY!
Go with some Castrol and clean out that engine sludge.. its proven to work!
I use Castrol, either GTX or Synthetic Blend. They both work really well. Or if your a big synthetic guy grab some Castrol Syntec.
But by far the best synthetic oils Ive ever used are: Royal Purple, Mobil 1, Castrol Syntec, & AMSOIL.
Lucas Oil has a synthetic motor oil out now too and a conventional.
My friend used the Lucas Oil Synthetic with Lucas Oil Stabilizer in his truck and he said it cleaned out his motor A LOT.

"it's only funny when it happens to someone else". sorry, couldn't help myself.
MMO works pretty good also. Any method you use will require a couple of frequent
oil changes. I had an uncle that used mineral spirits (4qt + 1qt oil). I tried it once,
dang near locked my engine (he forgot to tell me about adding the oil!).
