another airbag faux pa

Default another airbag faux pa

hi guys , i removed my seats from my wk jeep , forgot to disconnect battery first , so now , the airbag light comes on when i start it , ... if i put some weight on the passenger side , the light on dash will go out along with the indicator light in the centre console .... no weight , and both lights come on .. is there a reset ? ... i used a scan tool , no codes .... this model has the sensor pad in the seats .... any help please

Dealer might have to reset it, or find someone with an OBD computer that might be able to do it...

Most basic scan tools only read half the codes,A high dollar one will read everything which is probably what you need to clear it.

A DRB scan tool is what you need. A good auto mechanic should have one. They cost around $1000

when you removed the seat, did you bypass the weight sensor for the seat?
