AC drain?
Hi my name is Mike I've looked everywhere for the AC drain on this 98 Grand Cherokee Limited on the firewall and it looks like it's behind the metal? Does anyone have a solution for this. I saw the video on YouTube where they're draining it from inside but there is no drain hole plug on this 98 ? Help

Welcome t the forum.
Yes, the AC drains into the frame rail, starting above the passenger feet.
Is the issue that condensation is getting the passenger floor wet, or that the heater box drain is clogged and not draining water?

AC drain
Hi thanks for your reply, the issue is the passenger side four for is getting wet only when I'm running AC I did notice when I parked on a downhill slope there's water leaking out from the AC drain up in front of the vehicle right about where the frame opening would be .. it's really hard to believe that they didn't put an access hole to the AC drain.

It is possible to create an opening in the firewall from the engine compartment that aligns w/ the drain port in the heater box. There is a forum procedure showing how to attach a drain hose once that nipple is exposed.
If the only issue is the internal leakage, then it is possible to loosen the four heater box nuts in the engine room, pull the heater box away from the firewall, then squirt RTV sealant in the gap to assist the old foam rubber gasket to stop the leaking.
Don't neglect to yank the carpeting for drying in the sun. Also space the foam-backed mass loaded vinyl away from the firewall so that foam will dry properly.
