hey everybody, hope ya'll is well and not down with the swine flu like me and mine. oink oink

A boy I know just blew the 4.7 engine in his 99 GC limited. less than 100,000 miles and seized it up. metal shavings on the dipstick.

I offered to trade him my 98 GC 4.0 limited, that multicolored due to a frontal accident and overall its decent and I like it.

His 99 is sweet, no rust, dents and the interior is nice and so far no blend door issues.

I will have to slap in a motor of course, and really like the 4.7's power but the 4.0s are all I have ever owned.

Has anyone ever swapped a 4.0 into a 4.7 GC ? Anyone have a link that they can send me to it ?

I know the 4.7s from other dodges etc can be swapped, and will do it if I have to, but if I can do the 4.0 I will do that instead.

please help if you have any info it is mucho appreciated !

Well, it looks like it will have to be a 4.7 swap. the 4.0 swap will be to long due to having to swap everything over from on vehicle to another...

Looking for a 4.7 ho....

what 4.7's will I be able to swap over ?
