99 Grand Cherokee Shifting Problem
Hi All
New to this so bear with me. I have a 1999 Grand Cherokee 4.0 that has not had any transmission problems at all. Yesterday I stopped at a store and when I was leaving the transmission would not shift into second gear. I tried to manually shift it to help it along but didn't help, i also tried with and without the overdrive on, nothing. I can run it in drive 2, rpms at 3500, speed about 30mph thats how I got it home, i believe thats the limp mode.
It seems like its not even trying to shift into gear ???. fluid is full. I was told it might be the TCM, does anyone know where its located on my vehicle. Any help anybody
Thanks
Dennis

Sounds like the TCM might need to be re-flashed by the dealer.
