99 2wd no reverse
I have a JGC 2wd that revers does not work and 1st gear does not pull down during deceleration. Typical o/d unit snap ring symptoms, correct? If so, what are the specific instructions for repair? My local transmission shop wants to rebuild the whole tranny. I'm not ready to spend $12 - 1500 on a $800 vehicle. I've read the o/d unit must be pulled to replace the snap ring. What is involved in this procedure? Any utube videos? I looked with no luck. TIA.
