98 ZJ power/leather seats into 94 ZJ Laredo....
This is my first post. My wife and I have owned our 94ZJ Laredo for 8 years and it has been awesome.
I snagged a set of 98ZJ Power/Leather seats for $60 on craigslist and i've started the swap.
My first question is - Can I somehow adapt the factory power plug to fit the 98ZJ seats?
I put the manual rails from the 94 seats onto one of the 98s. The seat isn't quite right once I got it into position, and not having the lumbar function sucks.
Basically, i'd like some advice on how to get these seats functioning in my 94 ZJ.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

All you need is power and ground to the plug on the seat, if the 94 has a plug for the seat just do what you gotta do.

Cool. The jeep end has several wires leading into the connector, do I just find a power lead and a ground from there, and splice it in with the seat harness?

Just a power and a ground is all you need then. That multi wire connector that is there may be for airbag diagnostics or something of that nature, I would not tap into that.

I'm going to put a fuse in the power seat spot in my fuse panel. I'll test the wires in that harness for power, If I find power, I will pull the fuse, and test again. If it goes away I think it's safe to say that harness was made for the seats.
I'll keep you posted, thanks for the insight.

OK -
I checked for power on that harness. Turns out it is somehow directly tied in with the tcu/srs fuse in the block under the hood.
I will not be tapping into that.
My dad has a 94 Laredo with power seats and he told me there is just a power, and ground lead coming out of the humps under the drivers, and passenger seats.
I pulled the carpet back and found a harness under each seat, but no separate loom for the seats.
I guess I'll just have to wire up leads straight from the battery. Annoying, but at least I know i'll do it right.

The entire project was a mistake on my part.
Some of the functions don't work on the seats. Burned up motors I suppose.
I don't care enough about leather for this ****!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I just need to put my perfect clothe interior back in.
Live and learn I guess.
