The security system was activated. The horns are burnt out, so all you heard was the relay clicking. I sometimes set my alarm on my WJ by squeezing the key fob with other things in my hand, not meaning to.

Do you like Brian Johnson? He's a motorhead also.

There are ways to do it, but I don't know them. The system is so integrated with the jeep's electronics, I think if it were mine, I'd try to get the fob repaired or see the dealer about a replacement. I know the fob puts out a coded digital signal that only the dealer can code. Also, with the immobilizer working, chances are good to find it where you parked it.

It may be the same situation I had, someone who owned it before me put in an aftermarket alarm and it gave me problems so I just removed it. Dave mentioned that the horn was burned out. But does your horn work? Reason I ask is that the alarm that was put in my jeep had its own horn which is seperate from the stock horn. I just bring that up because if its the stock alarm then that's much more of a pain and or money.
