96 jeep Cherokee 2.5l engine blown
I want to get my jeep running again could someone tell me what my options are to replace it. Oh yeah I'm poor as dirt so try to keep that in mind.
96 jeep Cherokee had 2.5l i4 manual transmission. |
Car-part.com inventory of every salvage yard in the US and prices/mileage/condition etc of the engine . Craigslist you might find a rusty XJ for less than 500 bucks see it a lot here that runs fine . |
This might be a stupid question
I have literally everything from a 96 Lincoln town car except the frame is there anyway that would work in the jeep without a bunch of crazy modification.

That would be pretty silly honestly if you ask me . Swapping out your engine is simple and straightforward no reason to change it up imho ! |
I figured it was a bad idea Ill just sell the Lincoln parts and use the money for my jeep.

what is wrong with your jeep?
Engine rebuild kits are $500, and as long you have all your seals and parts you should be able to dismantle and reassemble in one weekend |
Are we talking a knock or a thrown rod? If it's knocking you have options, some of them are cheapish. |
