Now I have a 1996 6 cylinder Grand Cherokee. Almost the same problem I had with another but slightly different. I can be driving and all of a sudden the car begins to stall like it’s running out of gas. One time it stalled on the freeway, the motor completely shut down. I few moment latter it started. A shop told me it might be the jeep's brain and it's not cheap fix. Can anyone shed a light on my problem? I don't mind going down other avenues to find the problem and I can do some of the trouble shooting myself, that's if someone could explain first. Another scenario, I could be backing up in a parking lot and all of the sudden the car begins to bog-like it's running out of gas and sometimes if I give it more gas it will correct the problem. I know it sounds like a fuel problem but I was told it's not, again it’s the computer brain and if needed a new one, it has to be programmed. Does this sound correct?. Thanks so much in advance.
