96 GC oil pressure dropping out when warmed up

96 GC oil pressure dropping out when warmed up

I suspect the oil pressure sending unit is faulty. Here comes the stupid question. Where is it. The pressure is fine when first started until the motor reaches operating temp. Then it drops to pretty much zero and the motor tries to stall out. A little help.

I'd verify with a mechanical gauge.

Sending unit on 4.0 motors is near the oil filter tho...

The sender on the v8 is next to the distributor.

It could be a bad oil sending unit. The same thing just happened to my sisters 2000 WJ.
