I'm new so lets go slow. I bought my 96 GC Laredo in Oct.. Since then I have replaced the Cat Converter, the MAP sensor, the O2 Sensor, the throttle sensor, Coil pack, new plugs and when the ambient temp outside gets over 75 degrees F it will only idle? Cranks quickly will not pull off in drive? If I sit for a while and let it cool it will run for a while and then it will start again. I get no codes? Have tried a multitude of things and it still happens. I have shortened the screws in the module on the fire wall. Replaced the thermostat and it helped some but just when you don't need it it will start. Love the Jeep it has 150000 and rides better and drives better than my wifes new car. If you have the 4.0 liter motor in your GC, you have a temperature sensor that feeds your ECU information. This temp. sensor may be bad. Since, you didn't say, if you have the V-8 in your GC, I'm not sure about it having a temp. sensor that feeds the ECU.
