94 grandcherokee to buy or not to buy
New member here needs help and opinions.
I am looking at a lifted grand Cherokee since i cant seem to fidn the right regular Cherokee around here.
anyone have any opinions of grand Cherokees do they make good daily drivers/offroaders because that's what i would like to use it for.
the grand Cherokee is located on a dealers lot here is the add.

what should i look for when i go to look at it? and do you guys think it would make a good daily driver/offroader?
thanks again guys.

I was in the same boat as you last year. I wanted a xj but couldn't find one that fit the budget. Then I ran across my zj for $700 and well I am happy w/ my purchase. Being a 93 of course it had a few issues. Some of the main things I had to do: fix cruise, replace front trac bar, still need to replace control arm bushings all the way around, a/c wasn't working, alternator not charging correctly, oil pan leak, oil filter adaptor leak.
When you go out there make sure you check for any loose play in the steering. This would be my main concern b/c of the dreaded death wobble. Also, check around the fender wells and rockers for rust spots that are causing the paint to bubble.

OH my gawd its THE bumper.....
just kidding, it seems like it could be a good deal, just look for things that dont seem right, are broken, and ask about problems/recent work Take it for a test drive and actually drive it, dont just poke around drive it like you would.

definatley look very closely at all of the steering linkage and especially the track bars front AND rear but mostly the front. any play at all in the front end components will cause the death wobble in a lifted ZJ and even an XJ. also test drive it and try taking some corners at a good speed this will tell you if the steering box is wore out at all (which is a very common problem on jeeps) i my self have gone through two of them. what happens is they drive fine then when you corner you will feel the steering slip to a certain point before the car actually turns like it should. (very scarry at high speeds, this is best tested around big curves in the road not tight turns) my suggestion would be to bring a buddy with you who can turn the steering wheel back and forth quickly to look for play, cause i dont think the dealer will agree to point out problems n screw himself. other than that they do awsome offroad!!!! i like them better than the XJ's because of the coils front n rear they flex way good even with your rear sway bar still attached. hope this super long message was of help. good luck man!

by the way the jeep looks way clean, has a nice lift, n nice looking wheels, price is pretty good, but as for that front bumper......... its hideous! lol thats my opinion anyways.

Overall, that 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee still looks good...
It has pretty nice tires and lift which makes it look tough...
I just don't understand why he installed a bumper like that...
