I have a 94 Grand Cherokee when it warms up you have to play with the accelerator to get it to shift. Whats the Prob.

Based on the details, you have given us so far, I have got to conclude the primary issue is the driver.

i am having the same problem.

94 Jeep Grand Cherokee
2WD Auto 4.0L

bought it with a bad tranny and got a replacement from a junk yard (which said they tested it)

when it is cold all is fine but when it heats up to operating temp it wont shift past 1st gear.. sometimes it will grab second.

my theory is maybe the tranny cooler is clogged or the tv cable is out of adjustment. i will be toying with it over the holiday and will post what i find.

any suggestions of other things i can check would be nice... Thanks.

also im running ATF-4 if that could be a problem as well.

check fluid level
check TV cable adjustment
