As for mileage, they're better then the 5.2L in the ZJ by a long shot. I can't really give you an accurate mileage number because with my lift, mid tires, roof rack, etc...my mileage has suffered a fair bit.

As far as maintenance...same as any other engine...not sure exactly what you're asking.

Longevity and reliability...I've had no problems in the years I've had it. It's got plenty of power, runs smooth and has never let me down.

If you're looking for something with a V8 then I'd recommend one with a 4.7L for sure. I've pulled various trailers and boats without problems, and even pulled a Fullsize long bed extended cab Chevy Silverado once (Although, between the Chev and the trailer was a LOT of weight and it was quite noticeable, but you really shouldn't be pulling that weight with with Grand anyway, but it wasn't very far, and a buddy needed a helping hand...)
