4.7 or 4.7 ho...
which one is a better candidate to mod...looking to start on it this spring just wanting to get some opinions.

I have a 4.7 it has been pretty reliable and good but I've heard lots of great things about the HO so it's really all about your preference

I have the standard 4.7 but im not sure if I want to put the money into it to make it more powerful.

Yes as far as ive seen on engine swaps between jeeps from the years 99-04 as long as its a 4.7 should bolt up right to the same tranny and you can even boost it up to a 5.7 or a 5.9 but with those blocks you don't get the same compaqed power as the 4.7 or th HO. And if you did go with the larger 5.7-5.9 you would have to bust out the fire wall and move the whole assembly back. But yes to awnser your original qestion the 4.7ho will bolt right up to the regular 4.7 tranny and mount points.
