Default 33's rubbing

I have a 4.5 inch list and 33/12.50-15's on 15x8's with 4 inch backspace and they are rubbing hard on a tight turn against the back of the wheel well. Not really wanting to lift it more because i am going in a baja direction rather than crawler.

I am thinking of cutting the floor board and making some room. I do have adjustable control arms but the wheels are centered as is.

Looking to see some other solutions to the problem

About the only thing you can do is to trim that "strip" that is in the back of the wheel wells. It's very hard to clear 33's on a Grand at 4.5" I had 5.5" on my ZJ and hard problems with 32's rubbing..

do you have an adjustable trackbar? if it is only rubbing in one direction it sounds like you are not centered underneath the vehicle. If you have an adjustable trackbar try moving it a little to shift the axle away from the rubbing side. If not you may need to get an adjustable one, pretty inexpensive in the grand scheme of things.

12.50's are pretty wide, how about some wheel spacers or adjust the steering stops (on the knuckles)

Wheel spacers will make it rub on the outer portion of the wheel well. Grands are VERY sensitive to tire tub, especially with 12.5" tires. You can "massage" it with a BFH, and they give you some room. FWIW, I had 33x10.5x15s on stock wheels with 5.5"s of lift, and it still had to be trimmed to clear at tuck. Grands use the entire wheel well, so moving the tire in or out can have bad effects on tire clearance. Good luck with it bud, keep us posted!!

The axle is centered and it rubs on both sides. I did hammer down the pinch weld and that helped. I think I am going to try adjusting the control arms to move the axle forward slightly. maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Then I will mini-tub the footwells to gain what I need.
