242 shift position sensor question
So a few weeks ago I swapped out my stock 249 in my zj for a 242. Well today I finally got around to crawling back under to hook up the shift position sensor. Well the 242 has 2 prong/wire hook up. The factory wire has a 4 wire/prong hook up. Does any one know wich two wires i need off the factory plug. Or should i jave kept the sensor off the factory 249? I went full retard and cand find anything searching that adresses this matter. update.... I put a sensor in off a 249 and a zj 231 set up. and neither give me readings on the dash or VIC.

To get vic to work properly you have to go behind it unplug red wires abd plug in black wires...as for the sensor if the ball/know is the same as the one you pulled out if the 242 use the one that matches plug otherwise you wont be able to shift the tc
