Default 2006 - Won't Start??

Drove home just fine. Went out after lunch to start the Jeep and it has full power (windows, radio, lights, etc) and when I turn the key - nothing? I assume this has to do with a computer alarm sensing an issue, but there is nothing displayed on the dash.
The vehicle is in park.
Is there a process to display error codes on the dash?
Any help appreciated.

First off, welcome to CherokeeForum.com.

Starting off simple, seeing as it's an 06', is it still the original Mopar Battery? And in any respects, have you tried jump starting it yet?

There is a way to get codes out of the instrument cluster, but if memory serves correct they stopped displaying actual codes in the 2004 model year. You can give it a try anyway, with the key in the off position, hold your trip/reset button, then cycle the key from "ON" to "OFF" 5 times, ending up in the ON position, then release the trip button. All your gauges will start moving, but I don't recall it actually displaying any codes afterwords as that system has since been replaced.

Good luck and keep us informed!

Try moving your gear shift thru all the gears then try starting in park and neutral. It could be the park/neutral switch acting up. I have read where the alarm can create issues but not that familiar. If this does not work you may need to get a volt/ohm meter and do some electrical testing.

Good luck.
