2005 Grand Cherokee Will Instrument Cluster Swap Affect Mileage

Hello,
I have an electrical issue with my cluster in an 05 Grand Cherokee Limited. A local shop will repair the cluster for a flat rate of $300 or I can find a used one for $125 and swap it out. My concern is I do not want to alter the mileage on the vehicle. Does anyone know if the donor cluster will update to my vehicle mileage if swapped over and if there are any other problems I may run into if considering the cluster swap?

I believe mileage data is stored in the PCM so it shouldn't be a problem.

I believe that Dave is right. I was reading about this yesterday on WJJeep.com as I would like to swap out my Laredo's cluster for a white faced cluster and the general consensus is that the new cluster will show the mileage of the original vehicle. So you should be fine. Let me know if you do swap though, I would like to know for sure when I get around to swapping my cluster.
